Singapore - lovely stopover

Singapore - here I come again! After spending more than one day in 2017 before heading to Indonesia, I decided to choose Singapore for another quick stop before heading to my Philippines 2.0 adventure :).

Why Singapore? Because it's easy, everything well described and located. It's safe and you don't need to think about anything, which is difficult anyways with that humidity you face when there.
With an enjoyable flight - I had a 4seat row for myself - watching Mary Poppins Returns and after the original movie  and arrived supercalifragilisticexpialidociously in Asia :)
After checking in the Holiday Inn Express Singapore at Clarke Quay which is perfect for one night to stay there, I needed a nap and after 2.5 hours I was ready for a pool session. The pool at the hotel is really cool, somehow infinity too and less crowded (and expensive) than at the Marina Bay Sands I stayed two years ago.

As I could not forget about the yum experience we had last time in my awesome café in China Town, I decided to walk there for a quick lunch. It was very yum again and when I returned, I was ready for another pool session (thank you humidity).

In the evening I was meeting up with Andrea I was working with 6 years ago. She is living in Singapore and reserved a table at Privé, next to the church where the movie wedding of the Crazy rich Asians took place. We had a yum Wagyu Burger dinner and it was so cool catching up and talking what has changed in the last 6 years. Mainly it was about former co-workers who got married and having kids now :)

I reckon once you're in Singapore, you can't miss a Singapore Sling. Andrea took me to the place where the drink origins - yes it is touristy and pricey but i am also a tourist and on holidays. For  a once-in-a-lifetime experience I can really recommend having a drink at the Long Bar Raffels Hotel, where you get the original Singapore Sling for 32 SGD (!!). Even more fun and very untypical Singapore where everything is superclean and you could eat on the floor was the fact, that you could through legally the nutshells of eaten peanuts on the floor! It was a fun evening, thank you again Andrea for taking me out and showing me new places of Singapore!

After a short sleep (thank you jetlag) it was time to move on and flying to Cebu, where my Philippines 2019 adventure started.....
